I want you to get the support you need.

My Approach

I provide compassionate support when you are exhausted from managing complicated family relationships, constantly striving for peace, but instead feeling confused or hurt. When you have suffered loss, and the pain from the past keeps showing up in the present, and when you realize that being “the strong one” often feels lonely.

Holding things together when others can’t is strong work, and it deserves strong support. I’m glad you’re reaching out.

My Credentials

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), licensed to practice in the state of Colorado. LPC.0016832

Certified in Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS). Advanced grief counseling addresses complicated or prolonged grief that disrupts daily functioning, including persistent sadness, guilt, anger, or difficulty accepting a loss. It also treats trauma-related grief, such as losses connected to sudden death, violence, or strained relationships, where symptoms may overlap with anxiety, depression, or PTSD. This level of care supports individuals who feel stuck in their grief, helping them process the loss, rebuild a sense of meaning, and re-engage with life.

Trained in Trauma-informed CBT. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a broadly scoped model that addresses multiple standards of clinical care that involve working with disordered thoughts (cognitions) and behaviors. “Trauma-informed” indicates I have additional training in the impact of traumatic events and prolonged traumatic adversity. This kind of emotional injury creates wounds that deserve specialized attention in every model of clinical therapy.

Trained in Attachment and Family-of-Origin Dysfunction. Early childhood attachments to emotionally immature parents/caretakers, or experiences involving neglect or violence, create patterns of survival in early life that become dysfunctional in adulthood. Recognizing the effect of these early adversities and applying appropriate clinical intervention enables us to create new patterns of thinking and behaving. These repairs provide tremendous improvements in relationships and quality of life.

Focused on Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). The experiences you have lived through are preserved in memories and sensations. These are rooted in thoughts that frame your healing or your suffering. By focusing attention on your thoughts, we regain control of some parts of the experience that we can influence. This influence can have a profound effect on your ability to carry your experiences with you in the present and into the future.

I partner with you. Every person that I encounter has a wealth of knowledge from experience, and deeply rooted wisdom that I aim to nourish. The most fulfilling part of my job is finding tools that unlock your connection to your courageous self, and watching you expand in grounded confidence and connection to life.

How We Work Together

After working with people in a therapeutic setting for nearly a decade, I have learned that support comes in many forms.

My therapy clients receive targeted, compassionate, and clinically guided care aimed at protecting success, better understanding stressors, and improving mental health. You can meet with me virtually from anywhere in Colorado. In the greater Colorado Springs area, I look for opportunities to meet for a walking session. Movement, like talking, is a helpful supplement to the work of emotional healing.

I provide professional consultation to fellow providers in the mental health field. I enjoy the opportunity to mentor and share what I’ve learned with people on a similar path to mine. Open dialogue with a collaborative tone provides an exciting space to sharpen our clinical tools and grow our professional network.

Coaching is another useful tool I offer when you’re not looking for deep-rooted emotional repair, trauma healing, or attachment work. You will benefit from coaching if you feel stuck and need guidance, have personal and professional goals in mind, and have a clear view of your strengths and a relatively short-term trajectory. We get to work identifying the psychological and behavioral obstacles in your way, and we pair your capabilities with my perspectives to gain clarity and movement.
