I want you to get the support you need.

Specialties and Areas of Focus

  • Despite success or outward stability, you feel plagued by thoughts of impending financial, spiritual, physical, or relational loss.

  • Losses that linger, whose meaning impacts our connection to life and purpose.

  • Damaged trust in self and others, resulting from repeated exposure to manipulative, coercive, threatening, or violent experiences.

  • Emotional or physical neglect, lack of predictable safety, loss of parent, abuse, confusing or anxious attachments before the age of 18.

  • Evidence shows a high correlation between childhood trauma, recent critical life events, and nightmares. I use tools that have proven to bring significant relief to persistent nightmares.

  • Also called vicarious trauma… causes symptoms of PTSD, like intrusive thoughts, interrupted sleep and changes in behavior after exposure to disturbing events.

My Credentials

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.

Trained in trauma-informed CBT. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a relatively broad scope that addresses multiple models of clinical care that involve working with disordered thoughts (cognitions) and behaviors. “Trauma-informed” indicates I have additional training in the impact of traumatic events and prolonged traumatic adversity. This kind of emotional injury creates wounds that deserve specialized attention in every model of clinical therapy.

Trained in attachment and family-of-origin dysfunction. Early childhood attachments to emotionally immature or coercive parents/caretakers create patterns of survival in early life that become dysfunctional in adulthood. Recognizing the effect of these early adversities and applying appropriate clinical intervention allows us to create new patterns of thinking and behaving. These repairs provide tremendous improvements in relationships and quality of life.

Focused on cognitive processing (CPT). The experiences you have lived through are preserved in memories and sensations. These are rooted in thoughts that frame your healing or your suffering. By focusing attention on your thoughts, we regain control of some parts of the experience that we can influence. This influence has a profound effect on your ability to carry your experiences with you in the present and into the future.

I partner with you. Every person that I encounter has a wealth of knowledge from experience, and deeply rooted wisdom that I aim to nourish. The most fulfilling part of my job is finding tools that unlock your connection to your courageous self, and watching you expand in grounded confidence and connection to life.
